Weekly lessons this year will follow a hybrid model, alternating online lessons with in-person lessons.<\/p>\n
Online lessons will use Zoom software, with the option to also use Cleanfeed audio.
In-person lessons will happen in person at Resound Voice Studio, 30 Glen Park Crescent, Kitchener N2N 1G2.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
In-person lessons will involve both instructor and singer wearing a “singer’s mask” (designed to keep the fabric away from the face); temperature checks; HEPA filter\/air purifier; hand sanitizer; and distancing as much as possible.\u00a0 Singers will be scheduled to with online appointments to allow for air exchange between singers.\u00a0 If at any time a singer is under the weather or experiencing suspect symptoms, or has been exposed to someone who may have COVID-19, we will switch to online for that lesson.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
I reserve the right to transition to online lessons only at any time, based on public health guidelines and local COVID-19 case numbers.\u00a0 Singers are asked to take extreme caution<\/span> when making decisions to come in person: particularly due to the fact that the disease causes lung damage, which can be especially harmful to singers; and due to the fact that I have a child at home who is too young to be vaccinated (and a few students that young, too).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
INCLUSIVE TUITION<\/strong>
Lessons run mid-September to mid-June.\u00a0 Payment is by term in Sept. & Feb. or divided equally between ten months, September to June.\u00a0
Tuition includes a singer’s mask, songbook, theory workbook, (most) sheet music, twice-monthly online group classes (one studio performance class and one musicianship skills development class), and local (Waterloo region) or online performance opportunities.\u00a0\u00a0
The only additional costs associated will be guest masterclasses with the studio; or external opportunities such as Royal Conservatory Examinations, music festivals or competitions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
